The Lord is our Righteousness
Watching & Waiting
First Mennonite Church
Sugarcreek, Ohio December 2nd, 2018
Fellowship Time: 10:30-11:00
Sunday School: 11:00-12:00
We believe in Jesus and take his life, teachings, death and resurrection
as the model for how we live and the message we proclaim.
We seek to be a caring and discerning community,
the gathered body of Christ,
that welcomes all to join in worship, study, and service.
We embody God’s transforming and redeeming Spirit in the world
through our prophetic witness and action.

*Call to Worship:
L: Now is the time of waiting and watching. We wait expectantly for the Messiah, for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
P: We turn to you, O God, in the midst of this chaotic world, longing for that day of salvation to arrive. How long must we wait?
L: Pay attention, be still and know that God is with us. The signs are all around us.
P: Fill us with the faith and the hope of what is to be as we come before you with open hearts.
All: Come, Lord Jesus, come!
